Job summary

ProAutomated is hiring for a travel-focused field engineering role that starts with four-week paid training to build core electrical, programming, and networking skills. You’ll rotate across North America, perform on-site startup checks, and partner with system integrators to ensure projects run smoothly when it matters most.

The role offers a starting salary between $60,000 and $75,000, plus per diem, mileage reimbursement, and various bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel and stay away from home on rotation.
• 3+ years' hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in related field.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups with on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams to keep progress smooth and accurate.
• Travel rotations follow 5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, or 14 on-7 off schedules.
