Job summary

Day Wireless Systems is seeking a Traveling Radio Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair radio and wireless systems across the United States and beyond. You will travel 50-90% to support projects and ensure reliable communications infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years’ experience in2-way radio and wireless systems, a high school diploma, and relevant licenses such as FCC GROL or NICET; safety compliance and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in 2-way radio and wireless systems.
• High school diploma; technical certifications in radio systems preferred.
• FCC GROL, FICA, iNARTE, NICET licenses are beneficial.
• In-Building Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement System experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure radio and communication systems, including hardware, software, and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks: inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades.
• Identify and resolve faults using diagnostic tools to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess requirements and plan upgrades or expansions.
• Travel to various locations in the US and internationally for deployments and support (50–90%).
• Maintain accurate records of configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps.
• Adhere to safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on operating systems.
• Coordinate with IT, engineers, and project managers for installations and maintenance.
