Job description

We are seeking an experienced Field Mechanic to join our Equipment team in Hannibal, MO. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Mechanic will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources. The field Mechanic will require travel to other locations.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop solutions to resolve them.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  4. Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving issues promptly.
  6. Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, communicating with stakeholders effectively.
  7. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. 4+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting.
  3. Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  4. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various audiences.
  5. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  6. Experience with equipment maintenance or repair software is preferred.
