Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications Cabling Technician to install and terminate data, voice and fiber cabling per engineered drawings in Central Indiana. Travel may be required with a per diem provided. The role requires familiarity with TIA/BICSI standards and the ability to read project drawings.

Candidate should have 2+ years of structured cabling experience, fiber terminations, and proficiency with trade tools. Physical lifting up to 50–70 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience with structured cabling and fiber terminations.
• BICSI certification or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling distribution systems per drawings.
• Install, terminate and certify fiber optic cables.
• Read engineered drawings and submittals to support installations.
• Able to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
