Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Traveling Executive Chef to deliver culinary leadership and operational expertise across acute care facilities in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, and New York. This role requires day and overnight travel, with preference for candidates in MA, NY, or CT.

The Traveling Executive Chef provides support for new accounts, interim leadership, and performance improvement, ensuring culinary standards, regulatory compliance, and best-in-class

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management in healthcare or institutional settings.
• Experience supporting multiple locations or interim capacity preferred.
• Strong hands-on culinary leadership with ability to assess operations.
• Experience managing high-volume healthcare catering operations.
• Institutional/batch cooking and healthcare catering experience desirable.
• Knowledge of foodservice trends with focus on quality and cost control.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ServSafe certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on culinary leadership across multiple acute care facilities.
• Plan and execute menus aligned with nutritional orders and guidelines.
• Ensure standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation quality.
• Maintain production docs, temperature logs, and waste tracking.
• Coach culinary teams on food prep, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain cleaning and preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
• Manage inventory while controlling costs and adhering to budget.
• Ensure compliance with health regs and inspections.
• Collaborate with site leadership to meet goals and drive improvement.
