Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Operate trenching or digging equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., Backhoe, Excavator, Dozer, Tractor Trailer)
• Install and maintain underground fiber optic and telecommunications cables
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas
• Dig pits, trenches, and potholes as per job plans, crossing utilities manually or mechanically
• Set up and clean up sites, load/unload tools and materials
• Establish safety perimeters with signage and barriers

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow instructions and use small tools
• Valid CDL with good driving record
• Good troubleshooting skills and safety awareness
• Effective communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime and travel extensively

Physical and working conditions:

• Climb in/out of equipment, lift up to 100 lbs, stand, crouch, and work in various weather conditions
• Must wear safety gear and work in adverse weather
