ROBINWOOD ELEMENTARY in Florissant, MO is seeking an Elementary Traveling Orchestra Teacher to lead string instruction across six intermediate schools for the 2026-2027 year. You will recruit students, establish foundational technique, and foster a love of ensemble music while traveling between sites.

You will collaborate with principals and the Fine Arts Coordinator to ensure a high-quality experience for our youngest musicians, coordinating with teachers to balance academics and performance

Qualifications

• Missouri Teaching Certification in Music (K-12) is required.
• Reliable personal transportation to travel between assigned buildings.
• Bachelor's degree in Music; Master's degree preferred.
• Ability to make a 30-minute lesson engaging for 9-year-olds.
• Strong multi-site organization and progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead string instruction across multiple buildings within six intermediate schools.
• Focus on recruitment, foundational technique, and ensemble development.
• Collaborate with principals and Fine Arts Coordinator for a unified experience.
• Coordinate pull-out lessons with classroom teachers to balance academics.
• Organize and lead First Note concerts and elementary festivals.
