Role Summary

As a Traveling Primary Vocal Music Teacher, you will lead the music program across seven dedicated primary schools (K-2). You will facilitate a joyful, play-based environment that focuses on foundational vocal technique, steady beat, and creative movement. Because you bridge multiple buildings, you will work closely with several principals and the Fine Arts Coordinator to ensure every student receives a consistent, high-quality musical foundation.

Utilize Resources: Leverage our district’s unique assets, like Little Creek Nature Area, to explore the music and sounds of the environment.
Collaborate: Partner with Grade-Level PLCs across sites to integrate music with early literacy and social-emotional learning.
Showcase Success: Coordinate performances and school-wide "informances" that bring families together and celebrate student growth.

The Logistics of Your Success

Classification: Exempt, Certified Staff
Work Year: 10-Month Academic Calendar, 187 Contract Days
Travel Support: Daily travel between sites is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided per district policy to cover your travel costs.
Salary: Based on the Teacher Salary Schedule, determined by experience and education.
