Job Title: Journeyperson

Scope Of Work

The Journeyperson electrician performs installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tasks with limited supervision.
• Read and interpret electrical construction drawings accurately.
• Terminate cables, install, and troubleshoot control wiring from schematics.
• Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
• Maintain a Journeyman license where required and fulfill all training requirements.
• Analyze blueprints and utilize information effectively on-site.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards.
• Layout conduit systems, lighting, control systems, and feeders.
• Participate in safety talks, audits, and related activities.
• Provide technical assistance and mentorship to helpers and apprentices.
• Install conduit, lighting, control systems, and motor feeders.
• Work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at the job site.
• Comply with OSHA, company, and customer safety standards.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship or at least six years (12,000 hours) of relevant work experience.
