Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to supervise field operations, mentor foremen and labor teams, and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications. The role emphasizes cost control, scheduling, and client relations across diverse projects.

The position requires extensive construction leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to safety and process improvements as part of a dynamic EPC-focused team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' construction experience with 5+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership role.
• Self-starting and highly motivated with minimal supervision.
• Ability to quickly learn Kiewit policies, procedures and software.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems that may arise.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and help develop Jr. Superintendents.
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen and laborers.
• Manage subcontractor/field management meetings for communication.
• Develop client relations programs and on-site staff involvement.
• Lead project problem resolution meetings with the client.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Review, approve and negotiate change orders.
• Plan project completion and turnover to close out the project.
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Suggest organizational or procedural improvements as needed.
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
