Job summary

Muth Electric Inc in Billings, MT is seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical construction projects from start to finish across our footprint.

This role supervises crews, enforces safety standards, reviews drawings, coordinates with engineers and project managers, and drives on-time delivery within budget. A Journeyman/Master Electrician license and OSHA 30 are preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical construction experience, including supervisory experience.
• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise foremen, electricians, and subcontractors.
• Manage workforce assignments and jobsite resources.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety plans, and electrical codes.
• Inspect work to verify quality and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Review drawings, schedules, and material requirements.
• Lead crews, assign tasks, and maintain productivity standards.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to field personnel.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate project concerns or improvement opportunities.
• Ensure installation of power, lighting, controls, fire alarm, instrumentation, and related systems meets company and industry standards.

• Ability to work overtime and occasional off-hour shifts as needed.

Education

Associate degree, technical school training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of employment.
