United Contractor Services is seeking a Traveling Drywall and Framing Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple sites nationwide. You will supervise crews, coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors, and ensure progress, quality, and safety standards are met.
You must be proficient in reading blueprints and structural drawings, schedule control, and maintaining documentation.
This position works project sites across the country rather than a single local jobsite, so we want to be upfront about it. We cover lodging and pay a meal per diem while you're on the road, and mileage is reimbursed at a competitive rate. For superintendents who like seeing new markets and different project types, it's a good fit - and we make sure the travel is supported rather than something you absorb on your own.
You'll be the one in charge of the work in the field, from planning and scheduling through final completion. That means supervising crews and giving them clear direction, coordinating daily with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors so material and manpower show up when the schedule needs them, and walking the job to check progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Beyond that, the job comes down to:
Five or more years in commercial construction, including time already spent as a superintendent. OSHA 30 is required. You should be strong on layout for complex projects and able to read blueprints, architectural plans, and structural drawings without hesitation. We also want a track record of building and holding project schedules.
The rest of it:
We put money into our people and give them room to grow:
