Job summary

United Contractor Services is seeking a field-based Superintendent to lead site work nationwide. You’ll oversee planning, scheduling, crews, and coordination with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, safe completion.

This role requires 5+ years in commercial construction, OSHA 30, strong layout skills, and the ability to read blueprints. Travel is required with company-paid lodging and per diem, plus mileage reimbursement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in commercial construction, including time already spent as a superintendent.
• OSHA 30 is required.
• Strong on layout for complex projects and able to read blueprints, architectural plans, and structural drawings without hesitation.
• Track record of building and holding project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise field work; provide clear direction to crews.
• Coordinate daily with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure materials and manpower align with the schedule.
• Walk the job site to check progress, quality, safety compliance with regulations and building codes.
• Catch problems early and solve them before they slow the job down.
• Maintain documentation: daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
