Job summary

Cascade Environmental is hiring for field positions based in the United States Northwest region. You will drive, operate and maintain drill rigs and support equipment while working outdoors in small crews.

Travel to project sites across the Northwest with potential weekend travel and extended schedules as required. Applicants should be able to pass pre-employment screening, hold a valid driver's license, and meet DOT and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Starting pay of $23.00 - $25.00 per hour with no experience required (or $25.00/hr with Class A CDL).
• Ability to travel regionally and work outdoors in crews.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test; valid driver's license; DOT CDL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive, operate, and maintain drill rigs and support equipment.
• Work outdoors in two- or three-person crews.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and conduct pre-trip inspections.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as required.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

• We offer the opportunity for travel –
• Our Tacoma location travels 50% of the time. Travel is mostly within the Northwest, Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon regions.
• Projects typically operate on a 10 days on and 4 days off schedule, depending on project requirements. Workday schedules may be 10 – 12 hours
• Occasional travel on the weekends may be required

• Prior experience working with sonic, auger, rotary or direct push rigs is a plus, but not required

HERE’S AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO -

• Drive, operate, and maintain drill rigs, vehicles, forklifts, skid-steers, and other equipment
• Work outdoors year-round within two or three-person crews
• Solve problems and work productively in a team
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Conduct pre-trip inspections
• Perform physical labor, shoveling drilling debris, and transporting materials using proper lifting techniques
• Maintain all required certifications and training
• Be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Complete other duties and projects, as assigned

HERE’S WHAT WE REQUIRE -

• Negative drug test
• Satisfactory results of a background check (and your authorization to conduct a routine background check) – offenses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Possessing a valid Driver’s License for the state in which you reside and satisfactory results of a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is an essential requirement to function in this job
• Obtaining and maintaining an interstate DOT Medical Card and meeting all Federal Interstate FMCSA requirements to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle
• Passing a HAZWOPER physical
• Verifying your legal right to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)
• Respiratory Protection will be required to be worn if specified by a site-specific Health and Safety Plan, or when air monitoring indicates potential for exposure levels to reach an established action, level, threshold limit value (TLV), or permissible exposure limit (PEL).To comply with health and safety standards to protect against workplace hazards, employees may be required to shave or maintain facial hair in a manner that ensures a proper seal for respirator use.
