Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to help manage patient care across pharmacies. You will supervise and support the pharmacy team, ensure safe dispensing, and provide immunizations where permitted.

Travel within the district is expected to cover shifts and serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when needed. The role requires an active pharmacist license in the state, an active NPI, and adherence to DEA policies.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Manage and dispense medications safely and accurately; counsel patients and immunize where permitted.
• Travel within a reasonable radius to support district staffing and act as proxy for Pharmacy Manager on bench shifts.
• Ensure workflow compliance and safety standards; guide team to uphold processes at every workstation.
• Staff scheduling coverage and pharmacy operations support during pharmacist-on-duty periods.
• Assist patients with insurance issues and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Support inventory management, including cold chain protection and medication stock control.
