Job summary

Van Meter is seeking a Traveling Delivery Driver to safely and efficiently deliver products to customers while upholding professional service standards.

This role builds positive customer relationships, ensures timely deliveries, and supports DOT compliance and vehicle upkeep. A relocation commitment of 6–18 months is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class A driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL if needed for business needs.
• Ability to meet and maintain DOT qualifications.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and operate lift truck equipment.

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires relocation away from your primary residence for approximately 6-18 months at a time.

• Ability to hear traffic, equipment warnings, and other safety-related sounds?
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English sufficiently to converse with the?general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records?

Working Conditions

• Work performed indoors, outdoors, and in customer environments?
• Frequent exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions?
• Moderate noise levels from vehicles, equipment, and warehouse operations?
• Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, and mechanical hazards?
• Regular customer interaction and independent work?
• May require non-standard shifts, extended hours, and temporary third-shift coverage?
• Required use of applicable PPE and adherence to DOT and safety requirements?
• Travel Requirements: Up to 100% over-the-road and expected to relocate at a minimum of every 6-18 months
• Shift Demands: Extended hours and/or over-the-road assignments. Rotating schedule dependent on customer demand. Expected 45-60-hour work weeks.
