Job summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for a CWI to support operations in South Roxana, IL. This is a local callout/travel position with responsibilities including visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment and reporting conditions.

Qualifications include CWI certification, 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site, knowledge of CWI and ASME standards, and experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers. API is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• Knowledge of CWI and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.
• API certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and NDE of pressure retaining equipment per CWI and ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on NDE techniques and procedures.
• Comply with safe work practices; participate in safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
