Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Traveling Crane Operator to safely operate cranes and hoisting equipment on project sites across Texas (Amarillo, Abilene, San Antonio) and Monroe, Louisiana. This full-time role offers housing accommodation and daily per diem, with overtime and strong benefits.

Ideal candidates have NCCCO certification for hydraulic cranes up to 50 tons, CDL-A, and at least 3 years of stand-up 30-ton crane experience mounted on a truck, with traveling 12+ days as needed.

Qualifications

• NCCCO Certification for Hydraulic cranes up to 50 Tons is required.
• CDL-A is required and candidate must be willing to travel 12 days or more.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using a stand up 30-ton crane mounted on a truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and hoisting equipment to lift, move and position loads safely.
• Observe load hookups and control crane speed and direction per plan.
• Use appropriate hoisting attachments (hooks, slings, electromagnets, buckets) based on load.
• Follow approved critical lift plans and complete required checklists.
• Sign off on lift completion and report any defects or malfunctions to supervision.
• Inspect, clean and maintain crane equipment and participate in safety protocols.

This position will require travel to project sites across Texas, including Amarillo, Abilene, and San Antonio, as well as Monroe, Louisiana.

Flynn will provide housing accommodation and daily $40 peridium.

Job Summary:

The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes and hoisting equipment to lift, move, and position loads. This role includes observing load hookups to ensure safe handling, operating crane controls to regulate speed and direction, and using appropriate hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, or buckets based on load requirements.

The Crane Operator follows approved critical lift plans, completes required checklists, and signs off on lift completion. Additional responsibilities include inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining crane equipment, as well as promptly reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervision. Safety compliance and attention to detail are essential to this position.
