Job summary

Apex Design Build is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on healthcare-focused projects. This role serves as the on-site Quality Control Manager, ensuring safety, adherence to drawings, and project schedules while coordinating subcontractors and materials.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of construction experience, strong communication, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to supervise teams. Travel for overnight or weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing.
• Ability to read schematics/blueprints and apply specifications.
• Ability to supervise and train staff and schedule work.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety practices.
• Travel flexibility for overnight or weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and manage safety and quality standards on site.
• Supervise daily jobsite activities with Project Managers and Ops Director.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material vendors through planning and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and look-ahead planning.
• Document on-site activities with reports and photos.
• Collaborate with internal Apex team, owners, subs, and municipalities.
