Job summary

Richard Group is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across projects nationwide. The role requires living near the project site or commutable distance and offers growth opportunities within our nationwide portfolio.

The ideal candidate has 10–20 years of general contracting experience, is willing to travel across the U.S., and is proficient in MS Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam. Competitive salary and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years’ experience with a general contracting company.
• Open to traveling throughout the U.S.
• Understanding of construction materials, means, methods and building systems.
• Experience managing projects $20MM+.
• Experience in federal and healthcare projects.
• Experience in managing change orders, writing contracts, and building schedules.
• Proficiency with RFIs, change orders, look-aheads, and project docs.
• Ability to manage subs in hard-bid capacity and coordinate owner meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct and supervise all aspects of day-to-day field operations.
• Communicate with project team to maintain schedule, safety, budget and quality control.
• Plan and organize project work per contract documents.
• Conduct on-site meetings with subcontractors and owners.
• Monitor field productivity and mentorship of project team.
• Oversee startup, completion, and close-out processes.
• Maintain project documentation including logs and submittals.
• Manage contractual issues and maintain customer relationships.
• Forecast costs and ensure timely, safe completion per budgets.
