Job summary

TMG Construction Corporation seeks a Superintendent II to lead field operations on institutional and commercial projects across the United States. You will drive daily field activities, coordinate multiple trades, and ensure work meets schedule, budget, and quality standards.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders while travelling to project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• 8 years of field experience as a Superintendent or related role.
• 7+ years in commercial/institutional construction with a GC.
• 5+ years in government contracting preferred.
• MEP heavy project experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb objects and access job sites.
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR credentials required.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field activities to meet milestone dates.
• Develop short-interval look-ahead schedules and track progress.
• Maintain a safety-first culture and clean job sites.
• Coordinate work to match contract documents and best practices.
• Establish dimensional controls and coordinate survey staff.
• Verify work is installed plumb, level, and true.
• Forecast issues four weeks ahead and propose solutions.
• Obtain inspections and document quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
• Administer programs like CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship.
• Lead pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
• Participate in meetings with owners, subs, and staff.
• Meet with client reps to discuss status and resolve problems.
• Manage self-performed work within project budget.
• Handle changes in scope and update contract docs.
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, PO's to ensure terms are met.
• Oversee punch list and project closeout.
• Maintain daily paperwork: timecards, reports, emails.
• Provide timely interaction with accounting, HR, and ICs.
• Direct and mentor supporting staff for growth.
• Encourage lifelong learning and professional development.
