Traveling Site Superintendent – Cleanroom & Technical Builds

Home Base: Indianapolis, IN (or Midwest-based with easy access to Cincinnati)

We’re hiring a seasoned Traveling Construction Site Superintendent to manage complex, high-specification builds across the U.S. These are no ordinary jobsites—you’ll be overseeing the construction of cleanrooms, metrology labs, dry rooms, and other technically demanding environments where every detail matters.

From site prep to punch list, you’ll be the lead presence on-site, running day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and keeping quality and schedule on track. If you thrive in fast-paced, technical construction settings and don’t mind living out of a suitcase, this is the challenge for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Take full command of the job site—serving as the primary point of contact for clients, trades, and project teams.

· Direct all construction activities on-site: safety, logistics, timelines, and issue resolution.

· Enforce clean construction protocols and rigorous quality control standards.

· Manage mechanical, electrical, and architectural subcontractors with a sharp eye for sequencing and coordination.

· Lead daily site meetings, track progress, and keep project documentation updated in Procore or similar platforms.

· Stay onsite for the duration of each project (anywhere from weeks to several months), with flights home every other weekend.

What You Bring:

· 4+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent or Foreman on commercial, industrial, or specialized construction projects.

· Strong background in MEP coordination or clean construction is highly valued.

· Proficient with construction tech tools like Procore, Bluebeam, or other project management software.

· Excellent communicator with a steady hand under pressure—especially when interacting with clients and trades.

· Willingness and availability to travel 85%+ of the time.

Bonus Points For:

· Experience in cleanroom or controlled environment builds (e.g., pharma, aerospace, precision manufacturing).

· Familiarity with modular or prefabricated construction systems.

· Background in projects with tight tolerances, airflow control, or contamination risk management.
