Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Lead Construction Materials Technicians to join our team. This is a traveling position working on Wind and Solar Farms and other remote projects.

We are looking for dependable, flexible individuals who enjoy leading a team and have strong initiative and self-motivation. The role involves performing routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and observations on commercial construction projects
• Prepare daily reports on observation activities
• Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with training and mentoring junior staff
• Collaborate with project engineers and clients to ensure adherence to specifications

Required Skills:

• Valid driver's license and good driving history
• Ability to travel extensively to remote project sites across the US
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends as needed
• Preferred experience in wind or solar farm projects
• Technical expertise in electronic field data collection
• Excellent plan reading skills
• High attention to detail
• Experience with performing Special Inspections
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• iPad experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Required Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years of construction materials testing and observation experience

Minimum Certifications:

• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician I

Preferred Certifications:

• ACI Concrete Strength I
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
• ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
• ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
• State DOT Certifications
• NICET Certifications
