Job summary

Midwest Concrete Constructors (MCC) seeks Traveling Concrete Superintendents to lead field operations on projects across the United States from day one. You’ll manage concrete construction and administrative duties to bring projects in on schedule, within budget, and per specs.

Bring 5+ years as a working superintendent on large-scale sites, willingness to travel nationwide, and a valid driver’s license. MCC offers top-tier benefits and a performance-based bonus program.

Qualifications

• 5-25+ years of experience as a working concrete superintendent on projects a minimum of 100k sq ft; flatwork preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: Rigging, OSHA 10-hour, aerial lifts, and variable reach.
• Willing to travel throughout the United States.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing/walking long periods, uneven terrain, lifting up to 50 pounds).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that adequate manpower is provided as required to meet construction schedules.
• Analyze and assist general superintendent in determining equipment requirements and provide necessary equipment to optimize manpower usage.
• Determine job requirement quantities for each phase of work.
• Direct and supervise the activities of carpenters, cement finishers, iron workers and laborers.
• Inform supervisors promptly of any construction schedule changes.
• Report regularly to the project manager to keep them informed on progress, plans, and issues affecting costs or schedules.
• Cooperate with the general contractor and representatives, keeping them informed of progress.
• Maintain a daily diary to record significant project facts and events.
• Direct adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
• Comply with all company policies and perform duties with integrity.
