Job summary

ESS Companies is seeking a Traveling Concrete Laborer to support bridge construction projects across Columbia, MO; Kansas City, MO; O'Fallon, MO; and Lawrence, KS. This role involves hands-on concrete work, loading materials, trenching, and operating hand and power tools on active job sites.

You will collaborate with site supervisors, follow safety protocols, and contribute to project success through teamwork and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of construction or related industry preferred.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices.
Other duties as assigned.
