Job summary

AM Cohron & Son is seeking a construction laborer for bridge construction projects. The role involves manual labor across demolition, substructure and superstructure work, with travel to various job sites in nearby states. Expect 40–50 hours per week, with some weekends and occasional overnight stays at company expense.

The position requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and adherence to safety and MSDS guidelines. High School diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret MSDS and container labels.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Attend work as scheduled.
• Follow company handbooks and instructions.
• Communicate in a way others will understand.
• Use and care for tools, equipment and materials.
• Do general excavation and leveling using a shovel, pick, tamper or jackhammer.
• Align, place and tie reinforcing steel of various sizes.
• Carry lumber, plywood, reinforcing steel and other materials.
• Pour and level concrete.
• Read and interpret MSDS and container labels.
• Identify and communicate safety concerns to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
