Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete. You will read drawings, build forms for slabs and structures, and ensure accuracy and safety on site.

Responsibilities include erecting forms, setting elevations, placing reinforcing steel, and assisting with concrete placement. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, etc.
• Set forms to proper elevations and locations and assist in placing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembly above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding issues, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
