Job summary

Crown Innovations in Washington, DC, is seeking a Communications Electronics Installation Technician to support our nationwide field crews. This 100% travel role requires installation, integration, and testing of communications facilities across the United States, aligned with FAA regional boundaries.

You will install radios, RCE, cabling, grounding, and GFE, work with FAA personnel on site, and grow into leadership responsibilities based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining VHF/UHF ground-to-air equipment.
• Familiarity with FAA NAS communications systems, cabling, and equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, align, test, and troubleshoot VHF and UHF radios and related systems.
• Set up and support Radio Control Equipment (RCE).
• Connect Telco requirements including Commercial Telco, RCL, Field Cable, and Fiber Optics.
• Install radio racks and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
• Perform grounding, cable termination, and fiber optics integration.
• Read engineering diagrams and assist with field modifications.
• Interface with FAA personnel during installations.
• Ensure safety and operate in remote, geographically isolated sites.
• Generate required FRDF documentation per FAA Handbooks.
• Coordinate frequency outages and perform electronics testing.
