Job summary

White-Spunner Construction is seeking a Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent for the Southeast U.S. region. This role oversees field operations, coordinates subcontractors, and supports project budgets and preconstruction activities.

Travel across the Southeast United States is required, with assignments focused in Alabama and nearby states. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field experience in construction, a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management or related field preferred; trades experience may substitute.
• 5+ years of field experience; project size/complexity may vary.
• OSHA 30-hour training and basic first aid/CPR are required.
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and specs to plan, prioritize and schedule construction activities.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors in sequence for timely completion.
• Ensure quality and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Lead safety meetings and document topics discussed.
• Coordinate with inspectors and obtain required permits.
• Maintain project drawings, take photos, and complete daily reports.
• Communicate with owners, subcontractors and team positively.
• Review final punch lists and closeout efficiently.
