Job summary

Lucid Search Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects across Colorado and surrounding markets. The role supports hands-on field oversight for retail, grocery, restaurant, office, medical, and other fast-paced commercial builds.

Candidate must travel regularly, work nights when needed, and coordinate with project teams to maintain schedules, safety, and quality through all project phases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience preferred.
• Experience with retail, grocery, tenant improvement, renovation, or ground-up projects.
• Strong scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety practices.
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple trades.
• Proficiency with construction management software and daily reporting.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work nights when project schedules require it.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations from project start through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and company procedures.
• Review plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and field personnel.
• Conduct daily reports, progress tracking, and look-ahead schedules.
• Manage punch-list completion and project closeout.
• Minimize disruption when working in occupied or operational facilities.
