Job summary

Benton Roofing is seeking a Superintendent to manage commercial roofing installations across Southeast projects. The role requires leading on-site crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial roofing, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints and safety docs. Occasional travel and a home office near Flat Rock NC are expected. OSHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years commercial roofing experience (strongly preferred).
• Experience with start-to-finish phases of commercial roofing installation and various systems.
• Knowledge of roofing tools, machines, and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints, project specs, safety docs, and digital forms during roofing installation.
• Must be an effective leader who can inspire and manage a team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as project needs arise.
• Proficient with smartphones, tablets, email, cloud storage, and online reporting tools.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Coordinate safety measures and ensure PPE usage and safety documentation.
• Schedule and manage subcontracted crews to meet deadlines and keep customers informed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site roofing installations and production progress.
• Coordinate subcontracted crews and Benton Roofing crews to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure safety compliance and PPE usage; document safety issues.
• Lead and motivate team members; assign tasks according to strengths.
• Review project specs, blueprints and safety guidelines to prevent issues.
• Maintain daily goals and plan for upcoming project phases.
