Job summary

Innovien is seeking a Commercial HVAC Project Technician (Traveling) to join the field team across Georgia. You will install, replace, and start up commercial HVAC equipment in occupied buildings, supporting projects from surveys to closeout. Travel is required, with union-backed pay and benefits.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of HVAC construction experience, BAS/BMS knowledge, and EPA 608 Certification. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel with overnight stays are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC construction, retrofit, or equipment replacement in occupied facilities.
• Hands-on installation across RTUs/AHUs/split systems/heat pumps/fan coils/VAVs/chillers/cooling towers/boilers
• Ability to read work orders, manuals, wiring diagrams and drawings
• BAS/BMS platforms experience (Metasys, Honeywell, Siemens, Trane)
• Chiller, cooling tower, pump, four-pipe or central plant exposure
• CMMS or work order system experience
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel with overnight stays
• High school diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and start up commercial HVAC equipment in occupied facilities
• Support project execution from surveys to closeout
• Use BAS/BMS to monitor equipment and coordinate safe work
• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and controls issues and escalate as needed
• Complete work orders, PM forms, inspection reports, and refrigerant logs accurately
