Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CNA to assist RNs in patient care across multiple hospital sites in Wisconsin. The role requires travel between St. Lukes, Southshore, Mount Pleasant, Summit, Kenosha, Lakeland, and Burlington within shifts, with a $6/hour float differential to offset travel costs. Must hold active WI CNA and BLS, with good standing.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm) with weekend and holiday rotation. Pay range $20.80–$31.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum required for hospital-based certifications.
• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital certifications (DNV, CARF, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, feeding, ambulation).
• Records vital signs and patient data in EMR accurately.
• Performs rounding and communicates needs to RN.
• Assists in admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Runs errands, manages stock, cleans equipment and work areas.
• Supports patient positioning and transport with proper techniques.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses support devices as needed.
• Removes IVs and provides post-mortem care when required.
• Follows infection prevention policies and hand hygiene procedures.
• Provides age-appropriate care and adheres to department policies.
