Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care is seeking a motivated individual to assist in physical therapy and office operations. The role supports patients pre- and post-care, performs vital signs, and documents modalities and patient progress within the established system.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and at least 1 year of office experience in physical therapy or chiropractic care. Travel to multiple locations is expected to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients before and after therapy sessions.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient condition.

• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms.
• Travel to other locations to ensure coverage as needed.
• Provide general office support including filing, chart prep, and phone duties.

Job Duties

• Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients.
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Accurately and legibly document modalities performed and subjective patient comments on progress notes.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times.
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
• Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc. as required.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Assist in general office operations as needed including filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning, etc.
• Travels to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient care.
• Assist in maintaining office in neat, clean and orderly fashion.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed and/or as necessary.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• State Certification or enrollment in an approved course of study to include 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours of in-office training to become State Certified within one year of employment.
• Certification in CPR and/or First Aid. Must be maintained throughout employment.
• 1-year experience in office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care.
• Tact and skill in patient management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting maximum of 20 lbs.
