Job summary

PUSH, Inc in River Hills, Wisconsin is seeking a Traveling Backhoe Operator for utility construction to safely operate backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow and related equipment on fiber, copper, or power line projects. You will work across rural and urban sites with focus on safety and efficiency.

You will train and mentor teammates, perform routine equipment maintenance, read prints and schematics, and support field crews in demanding environments with travel and overnight for extended periods.

Qualifications

  • Field experience with digging operations around utilities in rural and urban areas.
  • Experience operating utility construction equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
  • Knowledge of reading prints and schematics for utility installation.

Responsibilities

  • Field experience with digging operations in rural and urban areas around utilities.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance on construction equipment used.
  • Operate equipment including backhoe, mini excavator, cable plow, or track hoe.
  • Successfully excavate around existing utilities.
  • Provide training and assistance to coworkers learning to be operators.
  • Perform routine labor (potholing, set-up of equipment, conduit/duct/cable placement, set pedestals).
  • Drive tow vehicle hauling equipment to and around job site.
  • Assist with all aspects of the job including basic labor responsibilities.
