Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a Traveling Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at multiple locations across Texas and Oklahoma. This role requires a proactive approach to inspections, documentation, and vehicle verification through road-tests.

You will be busy with high-volume work, maintain rigorous quality standards, and travel more than 50% of the time while providing top-tier service to customers and shops within the Grubbs network.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience required.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• ASE and/or manufacturer certifications a plus.
• Own a set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-related issues accurately the first time.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and recall services to factory specification.
• Complete thorough, honest multi-point inspections and document findings with photos or notes.
• Work efficiently to meet flag-hour and proficiency expectations without sacrificing quality.
• Communicate clearly with advisors and parts to keep promise times accurate.
• Follow proper warranty and repair documentation to support the work.
• Road-test to verify the concern and the repair before the vehicle is returned.
• Keep bay, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and well maintained.
