First Onsite Property Restoration is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our field team in Arizona. You will help turn plans into action, evaluate scopes of work, and support crews to keep multiple projects on track.

You will work closely with leadership to review proposals, develop schedules, and monitor budgets. This role requires hands-on problem solving, meticulous record-keeping, and a strong focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in project settings.
  • 2+ years in restoration/construction (water, fire, mold, etc.).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work with leadership.
  • Solicit, receive, and approve subcontractor proposals within budget.
  • Prepare project schedules including crew and subcontractor timelines.
  • Manage, support, and assist job crews.
  • Fill in as needed, including hands-on tasks.
  • Create and maintain job paperwork and inventories.
  • Maintain daily log of conditions, activities, and communications.
  • Prepare reports and other job-related admin documents.
  • Monitor budget, gross profit, and schedule; flag risks.
  • Handle change orders receipt/approval.
  • Conduct daily site safety meetings.
  • Arrange permits as needed.
  • Maintain daily reports, timesheets, equipment records, moisture maps, material sheets.
  • Review opportunities for change orders.
  • Assist in creating a project schedule and issue work orders.
  • Perform billing reviews for data accuracy.
  • Available 24/7.

As an Assistant Project Manager at First Onsite, you're at the heart of every project, turning plans into action and challenges into solutions. You'll collaborate closely with leadership to evaluate, develop, and execute scopes of work while keeping multiple projects running smoothly. From reviewing subcontractor proposals to preparing project schedules, your meticulous attention to detail ensures nothing slips through the cracks. You're the go-to problem solver, ready to step in and support crews whenever needed, all while maintaining accurate records and documentation that keep projects on track. Safety, quality, and excellence aren't just priorities-they're your standard.

Your role goes beyond managing tasks-you'll actively monitor project budgets, profit margins, and schedules, making real-time decisions to keep everything on target. Acting as a vital bridge between leadership, clients, subcontractors, and in-house teams, you foster collaboration and clear communication every step of the way. You'll handle scopes of work, change orders, and billing with precision, thriving in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact our success.

Responsibilities
  • Work with leadership to understand, evaluate, develop, and execute the scope of work
  • Solicit, receive, and approve proposals from subcontractors to perform work within budget
  • Prepare project schedule, including job crew and sub-contractors schedule, according to the scope of work
  • Manage, support, and assist job crews
  • Fill in as needed when additional responsibilities/tasks need to be completed, including physical labor
  • Create and maintain job activity paperwork and jobsite inventories
  • Maintain a daily log of conditions, activities, communications, and notable events
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and other job-related administrative documents
  • Proactively monitor and provide updates when there is risk of a project not meeting expected budget, gross profit margin, or schedule
  • Manage receipt and approval of change orders
  • Perform or ensure execution of daily job site safety meetings
  • Arrange for permits, as needed
  • Accurately maintain daily reports, daily sign-in timesheets, equipment records, moisture maps, and material sheets
  • Manage a defined scope of work and review opportunities for change orders
  • Assist with creating a project schedule
  • Issue work orders to subcontractors and manage their scope of work/change orders
  • Perform billing reviews to ensure accuracy of data entered
  • Available 24/7
Experience & Education
  • Relevant leadership experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the restoration/construction industry, with experience/knowledge in water, flood, fire, smoke, mold, asbestos, and rebuild remediation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
