Job summary

Tindall Corporation is seeking a bed crew helper to assist crane and Travelift operations, strip concrete members from beds, and move them to the finishing area. You will work with the bed crew to place members, follow safety rules, and support pour and finish tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months of related experience) and a readiness to learn on the job. Health benefits and retirement plans are included in the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist overhead crane operator in stripping concrete members from beds and placing them in the finishing area.
• Assist Travelift operator in transporting concrete members from the finishing area to the storage yard.
• Assist other bed crew personnel with bed duties.
• Follow safety and quality rules to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality production.
• Position crane and hook cables to lifting loops; stack members with wooden blocks as required.
• Perform other duties as needed for pours, dry finish, or rework.

Summary of Primary Functions

• Assist overhead crane operator in stripping concrete members from beds and placing them in the finishing area.
• Assist Travelift operator in transporting concrete members from the finishing area to the storage yard.
• Assist other bed crew personnel with bed duties.
• Follow all safety and quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and high-quality product production.
• Wait until overhead crane operator has positioned the crane above the member to be stripped from the bed.
• Hook cables to lifting loops or swift lifts.
• Position wooden blocks before stacking the member.
• Direct overhead crane operator as necessary to stack the member.
• Wait until Travelift operator has positioned the Travelift above the member to be moved from the finishing area to the storage yard.
• Hook cables to lifting loops or swift lifts.
• Position wooden blocks before stacking the member.
• Direct Travelift operator as necessary to stack the member.
• Perform other duties required for pour when not needed on Travelift or overhead crane, such as performing dry finish or rework.

Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training.
