Job summary

Northwell Health in New York is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients for exams, perform radiographic procedures, and ensure high-quality image capture. You will position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and monitor safety and patient condition throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include accurate labeling, image processing, and maintaining records, with ongoing adherence to department SOPs and ADA essential functions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and translates procedures into layman terms as needed; ensures consent when necessary.
• Performs radiologic exams, positions patient, adjusts immobilization devices, and operates controls to obtain correct exposure.
• Labels and processes images, ensures proper marking for right/left, dates, and patient IDs; maintains daily logs.
• Performs related duties as required.
