Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years of hospital-based experience to work day shifts in an acute care setting.

The role requires ARRT (R) and BLS certification, plus proficiency with imaging across abdomen, extremities, spine and chest, including fluoroscopy and C-arm procedures. The position features 4x10 hour days, with every other weekend and holiday coverage, and travel within a 10-mile radius as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered tech in a hospital setting required
• OR (Operating Room) experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine, pelvis, chest, and head imaging
• Fluoroscopy studies experience including barium swallow and contrast enema
• Mobile/surgical imaging experience including C-arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and contrast media administration
• Proficiency with GE and Philips equipment and PACS system

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based X-Ray Tech position in the Radiology/Cardiology department
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Floating within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Available to work every other holiday
• First-time travelers will be considered if they meet the 2 years of hospital experience requirement
• Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures across adult acute care, outpatient, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees must have been gone for at least 2 years before returning through an agency
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before becoming eligible to return
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
