Position Overview:
We're seeking a dedicated Travel Wound Care Nurse to support wound care programs across our Empire Care Centers buildings in Georgia. This is a dynamic, field-based role ideal for a nurse who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to coach and support clinical teams.
In this role, you will provide direct wound care support as needed, deliver education to local nursing staff, and collaborate with leadership to strengthen wound care protocols. Travel between facilities is required; mileage and overnight accommodations will be covered.
Ideal Background:
We’re looking for someone with experience as a Wound or Treatment Nurse. Wound Care Certification is preferred but not required. Admissions Nurses or clinical leaders who regularly conduct skin assessments are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite wound care and consultation across Empire Care Centers facilities in Georgia.
Educate clinical staff on best practices in skin integrity and wound prevention.
Collaborate with facility leaders and physicians to develop and implement wound treatment plans.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with nursing standards.
What You’ll Need:
Active LPN or RN license in the state of Georgia.
Strong wound care or treatment nurse experience.
Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel throughout Georgia.
Flexibility for occasional overnight stays (expenses covered).
