Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for an Echocardiography unit. RDCS and RVT certifications, plus vascular imaging experience, are required.

The role is in an acute care Level 2 trauma setting with a 8-hour day shift and weekly call duties. The position involves performing echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEEs, and vascular studies, using Philips equipment with EPIC charting and EMR/PACS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sonography required.
• BLS certification required.
• RDCS certification required.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification via ARDMS required.
• Vascular imaging experience required.
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for state of submission, if applicable.
• Copy of driver\'s license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a Level 2 trauma facility, Echocardiography department.
• Department has 4 scanner rooms with no float requirement to other areas.
• Performs echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, TEEs, and vascular exams including carotid, venous, and arterial studies (upper and lower).
• Average of 25-30 scans/studies per day for the lab.
• Uses Philips imaging equipment and McKesson/CHC EMR/PACS system, with EPIC also used for charting.
• 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Call requirement approximately once a week.
• Weekend call required every 5th-6th weekend.
• One holiday call requirement.
• Works alongside an in-house cardiologist.
• Purple scrubs required and not provided by facility.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
