Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS certification and high-risk OB ultrasound experience. The role involves floating across three hospital sites—Everett, Cambridge and Somerville—and performing duties for patients of all ages, including pediatric cases.

Shifts are 10 hours with Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday coverage; rotating weekends and optional holidays apply. Travel experience and Epic EMR familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• ARDMS RDMS certification is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• License is required if applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience.
• Prior travel assignment experience is required.
• Proficient in general ultrasound, small parts, vascular, and OB/GYN imaging.
• Pediatric ultrasound experience including hips/spine/head and pylorus/intussusception is preferred.
• Must be able to perform high-risk OB ultrasound.
• Flu vaccine is required during flu season.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient ultrasound in Radiology across three sites: Everett, Cambridge, Somerville.
• Float between locations as needed.
• Imaging for patients of all ages, including pediatric cases.
• Work 10-hour days with rotating weekend shifts; 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Epic EMR usage for reporting and documentation.
• Adhere to required scheduling limitations and local policies.

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with ARDMS certification and high-risk OB ultrasound experience to float across three hospital sites.

Requirements

• ARDMS RDMS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ultrasound specialty
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Proficient in general ultrasound, small parts, vascular (upper and lower extremity venous), and OBGYN imaging including fetal survey and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies
• Experience with pediatric ultrasound including hips, spine, head, and pylorus/intussusception studies
• Must be able to perform high-risk OB ultrasound
• 2 recent manager or supervisor references in matching specialty required for consideration
• Skills checklist matching specialty required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required during flu season

Responsibilities

• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• RTO limited to no more than 5 days
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
