American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARDMS and RVT certification with at least 2 years of experience.

Details include a 3-day work week (Fri-Sun), on-call shifts, and a spacious 228-bed hospital setting with GE equipment and Meditech EMR. Ideal candidates live outside a 50-mile radius and bring strong reliability and time management.

Qualifications

• ARDMS and RVT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience.
• Minimum 2 years of travel experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ultrasound department within a 228-bed hospital.
• Staffing includes 1 full-time and 3 PRN technologists across day, evening, and night shifts.
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and Meditech EMR.
• Procedures performed include pelvic/transvaginal, renal and renal dopplers, abdomen and limited abdomen, 1st trimester pregnancy, testicular, carotid, and upper/lower extremity venous studies.
• 3-day work week, Friday-Sunday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM.
• On-call required during the week, potentially 10:30 PM-7:00 AM.
• Possibility to pick up extra shifts.
• Floating required within the department and to patient rooms.
• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and obstetric studies.
• Must be open to weekend shifts, on-call, holiday call, and holiday shift coverage.
• Dark gray scrub attire required.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
• Ideal candidates demonstrate excellent time management, a positive attitude, and reliability.

• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography

• Paracentesis/thoracentesis experience preferred
• Biopsy and drainage experience preferred
• GE equipment experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
