TotalMed Allied invites an Ultrasound Technologist to join a travel assignment in Indiana, PA. A minimum of 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification are required to ensure safety and quality.

You will work 8-hour days, 40 hours per week, with duties including patient education, performing scans, assisting radiologists, and reporting results. Travel roles include weekly pay and benefits through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification.
• BLS certification required; state licensure as applicable.
• Able to stand/walk long periods and handle anatomy/physiology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report issues.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Indiana, PA. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
