TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Dallas, TX. The right US Tech has 1 year of experience and will work 40 hours per week on 10-hour night shifts for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, assisting Radiologists, preparing the exam room, educating patients, and maintaining records. Certifications such as ARDMS and BLS are required, with ACLS/CCI possibly needed before start.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS national certification, and state licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; good knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• ACLS, CCI, ARDMS, and BLS certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures performed.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with procedures.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and report malfunctions.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use the PACS system.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Dallas, Texas. We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Dallas, TX. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
