TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mountain Home, AR. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ARDMS, and state licensing where required.

The position offers 40 hours per week with 8-hour days. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound examinations, educating patients, assisting radiologists, maintaining equipment, and documenting results using the McKesson PACS system.

Competenze

• Must have 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• BLS, ARRT, ARDMS, and state licensing as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Must read and follow safety and procedural guidelines.

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Mountain Home, AR. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
