Job Summary

Ultrasonographer General in Winchester, VA, providing outpatient ultrasound services for neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The role performs general imaging ultrasound examinations, including thyroid and venous extremity studies, while delivering a high-quality patient experience. The position is scheduled for a weekend night rotation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; regularly scheduled Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with weekday daytime orientation during the first week.
• Required Qualifications: Two or more years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Abdomen.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in inpatient, emergency, Level I trauma, neonatal, and neonatal intensive care settings; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Obstetrics; peripheral vascular and renal artery duplex experience; experience with Siemens or Acuson equipment.
• Additional Information:
  • General ultrasound competency, including thyroid and venous extremity examinations.
  • Required procedure experience includes general, abdominal, obstetric and gynecologic, renal and pelvic, small-parts, Doppler, upper- and lower-extremity venous, and M-mode studies.
  • Patient caseload is approximately 1015 patients per day.
  • Patient populations include neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Caribbean blue scrubs are required.
