Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Job Summary

Ultrasonographer Echo (Ultrasound Tech) – Carlsbad, New Mexico. This role provides diagnostic ultrasound services for both inpatient and outpatient populations while independently performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological and obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms, including proficiency in scanning small parts such as thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
• Provide ultrasound-guided biopsy, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.
• Recognize and document pathologies during scanning for radiologist interpretation and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging results.
• Assume responsibility for patient care, safety, and comfort; maintain compliance with safety and infection control guidelines.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively and accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic health record; ensure all associated documents are scanned into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Coordinate imaging material supply monitoring and replenishment as needed.
• Scrubs: any color. No floating required.
