Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Meeker, Colorado. The US Tech will perform ultrasound exams, prepare the patient, and collaborate with radiologists for interpretation. A 1-year experience requirement and active certifications are specified.

Responsibilities include patient education, operating equipment, maintaining records, and using the McKesson PACS system. The role offers travel pay and a tax-free stipend as applicable.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• BLS, ARDMS, and ARRT certifications; state licensing when required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology; able to stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and observe areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; report failures.
• Perform scans and write reports based on results.
• Keep accurate patient records and use PACS system.
